Molecules

Now that you know what an atom is, let’s move on to a molecule. When two or more atoms combine, they form a molecule. Putting it differently, a molecule is a group of atoms that are tightly bound together.  Let’s understand this with an example. Take two atoms of hydrogen (H) and combine them with one atom of Oxygen (O). This will create a molecule of water (H20). Molecules come in all kinds of shapes and sizes, depending on the atoms they are made of. Like atoms, molecules too can’t be seen with a naked eye. A drop of water is made up of millions of molecules.
